CNC machining

Overview

Aeromec runs CNC milling and turning in Strand, Cape Town, from single prototypes through to production runs. We machine up to 4 axes, in metals and plastics, from your drawing or sample part.

Is this you?

  • A workshop manager outsourcing a batch you can’t take on in-house
  • An OEM buyer who needs prototype parts before committing to a production run
  • A maintenance foreman who needs a part remade from a sample
  • An individual with a once-off part to cut

What we can do

Milling and turning

CNC milling and CNC turning under one roof, so a part that needs both is handled in one place rather than passed between shops.

Prototype to production

One-off prototypes and repeat production runs. Send a drawing for a single part or a quantity; the process is the same, the setup scales.

Up to 4 axes

Machining up to 4 axes for parts that need more than simple 3-axis work.

Metal and plastic

Steels, titanium, aluminium, brass and engineering plastics, and more. If you’re unsure whether we cut your material, ask.

What you get

  • Tight-tolerance machined parts, prototype or production
  • Milling and turning handled together
  • Machining up to 4 axes
  • Work from your drawing, model or sample part

Common questions

Can you machine titanium?

Yes. Aeromec machines steels, titanium, aluminium, brass and plastics, among other materials. Send your drawing and material spec for a quote.

Do you do once-off parts or only production runs?

Both. We handle single prototypes and once-off jobs as well as repeat production runs.

How many axes can you machine?

Up to 4 axes for CNC milling work.

What do you need from me to quote a CNC job?

A drawing or 3D model, the material, and the quantity. A sample part also works if you don’t have a drawing.

Have a part in mind?

Send the drawing, the material and the quantity. We will quote it.
